Welcome to Tapovan Cottage, Gangotri. By making a reservation and staying with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience.

1. General Information

• Tapovan Cottage is located in Gangotri, Uttarkashi, just 1 minute away from the Gangotri Temple.
• These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made at our property, whether through our website, third-party platforms, or direct contact.

2. Booking and Reservation

• Reservations can be made through our official website, by phone, or via email.
• A valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., Aadhar, passport, voter ID) must be presented at check-in for verification.
• A valid email address and phone number are required at the time of booking for communication purposes.

3. Payment Terms

• A partial or full advance payment is required to confirm your booking. The amount will be specified at the time of booking.
• Payments can be made through online payment methods, bank transfer, or directly at the property (if pre-arranged).
• In case of non-payment or failure to pay the required deposit, the reservation may be canceled without prior notice.

4. Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in Time: From 12:00 PM onwards.
• Check-out Time: By 11:00 AM.
• Early check-in or late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the check-in date will receive a full refund of the advance payment.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the check-in date will be charged one night’s stay as a cancellation fee.
• No-shows or cancellations after the check-in date are non-refundable.
• Refunds, if applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.

6. Changes to Your Booking

• Any changes to the dates or type of accommodation are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.
• Modifications must be requested as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

7. Damage and Property Responsibility

• Guests are responsible for the condition of the cottage and any damage caused during their stay. Charges for damages will be applied based on the repair or replacement costs.
• Any items missing or damaged will be charged to the guest’s account.

8. Guest Behavior

• Guests are expected to respect the comfort and privacy of others. Any disruptive or illegal behavior may result in eviction without refund.
• Smoking is prohibited inside the cottages. Designated smoking areas are available on the property.

9. Pets and Animals

• Pets are not permitted at Tapovan Cottage, except for service animals, with prior notice.

10. Liability

• Tapovan Cottage is not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings during your stay.
• We are not responsible for any delays, cancellations, or damages caused by factors beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or other force majeure events.

11. Force Majeure

• Tapovan Cottage shall not be held responsible for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of nature, fire, flooding, strikes, or government regulations.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

• We value your privacy. Any personal information provided during the booking process will be stored securely and used solely for booking and communication purposes. We do not share your personal information with third parties unless required by law.

13. Governing Law

• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.
